Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs in action

We are implementing Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs! Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs states that if basic needs are not met, then higher order goals will be unattainable. Our mission is to implement the hierarchy from bottom to top! At the bottom, we are creating a basic needs campaign to help those in need. At the top, we are creating a Oneness Movement to self-actualize.

Basic needs campaign

We are creating a basic needs campaign to address the bottom level of the pyramid! At the bottom of the pyramid are basic needs such as the need for food, water, and shelter. As much of the world is lacking in these needs, they will not be able to move up the Hierarchy, leaving their lives poorer as a result. We are a one for one company – for every product your purchase, we will contribute a basic need (an item of food, water, or clothing) to someone in need.  We will run a monthly basic needs campaign in areas of high need to address the basic needs crisis.

Economic Opportunity Program

We are creating an economic opportunity program to address the next level of the pyramid. The second level is safety needs, such as the need for employment, money, and property. Our Oneness products are made by those in need. We pay them a fair trade wage. We are addressing the second level of the pyramid through our economic opportunity program.

Oneness Movement

We are creating a Oneness Movement to address the top three levels of the pyramid! The top three levels are higher order needs. These needs include the need for connection and the need to evolve. We are using the power of higher consciousness to help people self-actualize. Also note that to truly reach Oneness, we must lift up others. Thus, the top of the pyramid connects to the bottom!

Join Us!

We invite you to begin your journey to the top of the pyramid by joining our Oneness Movement, and to help others in their journey through the purchase of our Oneness products. Maslow would surely approve!

MORE ON OUR ONENESS MOVEMENT

Self-actualizing through Oneness

The top three levels of Maslow’s Hierarchy are higher order needs. The highest need is the need to self-actualize. Higher consciousness is the preeminent tool that can be used to meet these needs. Higher consciousness naturally leads to Oneness. Thus, we are creating a Oneness Movement to address these needs.

Oneness Movement

We are creating a Oneness Movement to address Maslow’s higher level needs! Oneness is a state of mind where a person sees that we are all really ONE indivisible being. From that perspective, harming others is really harming oneself. Helping others is helping oneself. Thus, one is motivated to lift up others in need. The top of the pyramid connects to the bottom!

ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM

Our products are made by those in need

To address the second to the bottom level of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, we are creating economic opportunities for those in need! This level deals with safety needs, such as the need for employment and money. We are building a team in the Kibera slum, near Nairobi, Kenya, to make our products. We pay them a fair trade wage. As we grow, we will tackle more projects in the Kibera and beyond.

Reaching Oneness requires practicing kindness and helping those in need. Please join us in helping support our brothers and sisters in the Kibera through the purchase of our products!

MORE ON OUR BASIC NEEDS OPERATION

We are creating a basic needs operation

At the bottom of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is basic needs. These needs include food, water, and shelter. As much of the world lacks these needs, as a first step, we are creating a basic needs operation. The focus of the basic needs operation is to target areas in urgent need.

First Basic Needs Operation in Kibera

Our first basic needs operation is in the Kibera slum, near Nairobi, Kenya. We pledge to contribute a basic need (an item of food, water, or clothing) for each product purchased. We also pay workers on the ground to distribute the needs and one photographer to document the operation. We first determine the urgent needs in the area, selecting a different region in the Kibera each month. We then purchase the needs, and our team distributes them. Initially, we are donating food items only. We document the entire process through paperwork and photos.

Support Basic Needs!

Remember that reaching Oneness requires the participation of all, including those in need. Please help us reach Oneness through purchasing our products and helping those in need!

IMPACT ZONES

THE KIBERA SLUM NEAR NAIROBI, KENYA

We are targeting the Kibera slum as our first impact zone. The Kibera slum is located near Nairobi, Kenya. Population estimates vary from 170,000 to 1 million. Our partner in the Kibera, Erick Okoth, will be documenting some of the problems facing Kibera residents. These problems include: extreme poverty and a high unemployment rate, among others. Despite these challenges, Kibera residents are quite entrepreneurial and optimistic. We will be working with them to come up with Oneness-inspired solutions to some of these issues.

LOCAL BASIC NEEDS CAMPAIGNS

PERIODICALLY, WE WILL BE ORGANIZING LOCAL BASIC NEEDS CAMPAIGNS

From time to time, we will be organizing local basic needs campaigns, initially in Vancover, BC, and Kansas City, KS, to donate basic needs to locals in need. As we expand, we will be setting up local volunteer campaigns across the world. Be on the lookout for our local volunteer events!
